Security
Bank-grade, audited, boring. Exactly as it should be.
Cassis reads your accounts. It never touches your money. Everything else is encryption, audits and paperwork.
Can Cassis move money out of my accounts?
No. Cassis connects to your accounts in read-only mode, which means it can see transactions and balances but has no ability to send, spend, or transfer anything. Savings rules work by telling you what to move and when — the actual transfer happens in your own banking app, with your own authorization, every time.
Which banks and cards can I connect?
Over 4,000 institutions across the US, UK, and EU, including every major retail bank and most credit unions. Cards, current accounts, savings, and brokerage all sync the same way. If yours isn't supported yet, tell us and we'll add it — most requests take under three weeks to go live.
How safe is my banking data with you?
Your credentials never touch our servers; the connection runs through a regulated aggregator, and we only receive a read-only token. Everything after that is encrypted with AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. We're SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified, re-audited externally every year.
Do you sell or share my spending data?
Never, to anyone, in any form. We don't run ads, we don't work with data brokers, and we don't build anonymized profiles to license out. Cassis is funded by the people who pay for it — that's the whole model, and it's why the free plan is limited rather than subsidized by something else.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Cancel whenever you like and you keep access until the end of the billing period, with no exit fees or retention calls. Delete your account and every transaction, category, and rule we've stored is permanently erased within 30 days. You can export everything to CSV first, in one click.
How is this different from my banking app?
Your bank only shows you its own accounts, and only what has already happened. Cassis reads all of them at once, tells you what's coming in the next 30 days, and flags the charges you didn't recognize. Your bank has no reason to help you spend less with it — that's the difference.
